Whatever landscape is in front of me, I'm not looking at space itself, but its state.
Whether it is a city, nature, or the side of a road, when everything alignsweather, time, light, and colour, the contours of the world begin to loosen a little. In those moments, something grabs me.
The world just lies there, in plain sight. It neither accepts nor rejects. It doesn’t embrace or comfort.
It doesn’t need to be anywhere specificsomewhere open, undefined will do. My sense of self then slightly recedes and grows quiet. I'm thereI know it, but I'm not important in that moment.
I don’t even need to reach out. It reaches me.
And that’s how I dream, awake, when the world slides a little like that.
These are the experiences I photograph.
